About the Campaign for Modern Medicines

Our Mission

The Campaign for Modern Medicines champions the public policies necessary to ensure individuals have access to the safe, effective, and breakthrough medicines of today and tomorrow. We are a diverse coalition of individuals and organizations who believe that a robust, united and vibrant community of empowered advocates can have a real impact on the policy decisions that will improve our health.

Our campaign will:

  • Educate stakeholders on our public policy priorities;
  • Empower your voice in the health care debate;
  • Engage policymakers in a substantive and bipartisan dialogue to achieve our policy objectives;
  • Evolve our efforts using technology.

Together, we advocate for policies that help transform molecules to medicines and bring medicines to patients.

About Us

The Campaign for Modern Medicines, launched by Eli Lilly and Company in 2010, champions the public policies necessary to ensure individuals have access to the safe, effective, and breakthrough medicines of today and tomorrow. We are a diverse coalition of individuals and organizations who believe that a robust, united and vibrant community of empowered advocates can have a real impact on the policy decisions that will improve our health.

The Campaign for Modern Medicines focuses its efforts in four health policy areas: ensuring access to medicines, creating a twenty-first century regulatory framework, fostering the cures of tomorrow, and improving patient care. Along with our community of supporters, we advocate on specific public policies such as the Prescription Drug User Fee Act, Medicare Part D, and essential health benefits.

With a united voice, we can help achieve better health care for patients.

Meet Amy, CMM's Campaign Manager

Hi, I’m Amy, CMM’s Campaign Manager. In my 8 years living in Washington, D.C., I’ve seen first-hand the impact that individuals can have on the public policy process. That’s why I’m passionate about empowering people across the country to engage with lawmakers in a real, bipartisan dialogue. By working together, we can promote policies that will improve our health and access to safe and effective medicines.

I also lead the Digital & Social Media Communications team at Eli Lilly and Company, where my goal is to develop Lilly’s digital engagement efforts to promote innovative public policy solutions. I’m a graduate of the University of Notre Dame - Go Irish! - and earned a master’s degree in public policy at Georgetown University - Hoya Saxa! I split my time between Indianapolis, IN, and Washington, D.C. and can often be found exploring with my dog, playing sports, and cheering on my favorite teams.
