Creating breakthrough medicines doesn't happen in a vacuum.

It requires substantial intellectual and financial investment from both the private and public sectors. Our government and business communities must work together to foster an environment that rewards innovation and builds a sustainable pipeline of new treatments and cures. We advocate for strong intellectual property, economic regulation, and policies in tax and trade that will improve America's ability to create the cures and treatments of tomorrow.

The MODDERN Cures Act

When it comes to treating rare diseases and conditions for which they are few or no existing medicines, improvements can be made to the U.S. regulatory system. The Modernizing Our Drug and Diagnostics Evaluation and Regulatory Network (MODDERN) Cures Act would dramatically transform the drug development and approval process and allow new, safe drugs that treat or cure unmet medical needs to come to market faster.
