Innovative cures and treatments only matter when patients have access to them.
Comprehensive prescription drug coverage for every citizen benefits not only individual patients, but promotes our overall public health. We work for policies that expand coverage and ensure timely access to medicines.
The Medicare prescription drug program, Part D, is the rare government program that is costing less than projected and exceeding expectations. However, Congress is considering proposals that would change Medicare and could mean higher out-of-pocket costs and less choice of medicines for older Americans. Join us in telling Congress to leave Part D alone.
Federal health care reform, officially known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), was passed into law in 2010 and upheld by the Supreme Court in 2012. The Campaign for Modern Medicines is working alongside advocates across the country to ensure the ACA's implementation brings quality health care to the tens of millions of Americans who currently lack it, and improves the quality of care for those who already have it.
